Betel nut is cut in pieces which is used for chewing and also is used for religious purposes. The betel nut is very much sour in taste and is very much hard weight. During occasions like weddings betel nut in other way is known as supari which has the blend of sweet and sour taste. Commonly known as meethi supari these come in varieties where people find it easy to choose and then have it after meal. Also flavored supari is available in the market which gives a unique flavor to our mouth when had it. These suparis are also called as mukhwaas which again is the form of supari. Meethi supari is found in restaurants, hotels and even in weddings but a typical betel nut is found only at a traditional wedding. The use of betel nut is also very much done at religious purpose. Betel nut is kept in front of lord ganesha or any other god, goddesses etc which is considered to be a sign of purity and traditional belief of people.
According to the ayurveda betel nut and betel leaf are used to cure bad breathe. Also in the other part of the world it is used to cure headaches, arthritis and joint pain. The combination of betel nut and betel leaf woks with an easy go as they both are used to cure health issues.
