| Electrical Transmission & Distribution Devices
|
Electrical transmission and distribution devices ensure safe handling of energized lines and equipment. They range from transformers, power strips, generators, power distribution devices etc. Transformers are used to increase or decrease the power supply. They are available in wide range for diverse applications, like control transformers, auto or power, distribution and electric furnace, ignition transformer etc. They are supplied for balanced voltage and biased differential protections. Protection devices include circuit breaker, fuse, thermal sensors, emi / rfi protection, and transient voltage surge suppression etc. Circuit breakers are protective devices for over-voltage. They trip at overload and may be reset. Fuses are safety devices that are activated in the event of extended over-voltage. They often take the device power off line. Fuses include replacement and resetable fuses and often thermal sensing. Thermal sensors detect high thermal conditions, indicating current overload or other non-design condition. Relays are provided for bus bar zone protection.
