In modern times, it is far more common for mineral waters to be bottled at source for distributed consumption. Bottled water is drinking water as a packaged food product, regulated by national and local agencies, that allows consumers to purchase and consume water at different locations. The dominant form is water packaged in bottles for individual consumption and retail sale. The human body is anywhere from 55% to 78% water depending on body size. To function properly, the body requires between one and seven liters of water per day to avoid dehydration; the precise amount depends on the level of activity, temperature, humidity, and other factors. Most of this is ingested through foods or beverages other than drinking straight water. Mineral water satiates all these needs of the body and provides much more nutrition. Besides, being packages under strict surveillance and hygienic conditions, it ensures safety and purified water.
