Benzoyl Peroxide

A chemical which is an organic compound in the peroxide family. It is used as radical initiator which is used for inducing polymerization. It is very commonly used for treatment which is applied to the areas and is available in gel or cream form. It is used for dyeing hair, for whitening teeth, also used in the preparation of flour. Benzoyl peroxide is very much explosive which causes fire without external ignition. It is termed as acne fighting ingredient which is found in the counter tropical gels and creams. It acts an antibacterial agent. It is used for spot treatment and famous creams or cleansers like neutrogena, lakme which has the contents of benzoyl peroxide, which are used for reducing the spots or pimples but does leave an effect like irritation, redness, excessive dryness and flaking.

Also used for curing pimples and various creams like clean and clear etc contains benzoyl peroxide. The bacteria which cause pimples on our face are known as propion bacteria which cannot live in an oxygen free environment. Famous brands like clearasil and proactive contains benzoyl peroxide which is an active ingredient and still is considered to be very popular and successful treatments for acne. Going for an acne treatment is indeed very expensive treatment. The use of benzoyl peroxide often must be used even after acne clears up.

It is also used as bleaching agent for hairs, towels and clothes which often removes stains from the clothes and towels. For hairs it is used for dyeing purpose which thus leaves the color on the hair. The types of benzoyl peroxide used in the treatment of acne includes soaps, pads and topical gel, solution cream, lotions and liquids. Peeling and drying actions thus are reactions of using benzoyl peroxide. The paste is highly effective as there is no separation of oil and water. It is creamy in texture and is used as hardener which is used to improve the sand ability.
