The moisture or humidity in the air sometimes cause more damage than you can imagine. It affects the furniture or electrical appliances in your house, in a way you can never imagine. This is where dehumidifier play an important role, they help in reducing the extra humidity in the, thereby it keeping to the right percentage. Some types of dehumidifiers are -chemical absorbent dehumidifiers, they absorb the moisture from the air with a "desiccant"-a drying agent such as silica gel. The desiccant is on an heat exchange wheel. A separate air loop dries the wheel and exhausts the hot damp air outdoors through special ducting. The other type of dehumidifier is the- dehumidifier ventilator this dehumidifier has a sensor control and an exhaust fan. You can set the sensor control to run when the humidity reaches a set level. Dehumidifier ventilator work well in the basement.
