Water filters remove impurities from water by means of a fine physical barrier, chemical processes and/or biological process. Water filters are primarily used to soften water and remove chemicals such as chlorine. Water filters are used to cleanse water for irrigation, drinking water, aquariums, and swimming pools. Industrial water filters cleanse and purify water for use in a variety of industrial situations. A host of industrial water filters exist and each filter is designed to fit a particular industrial need or purpose. There are wide range of industrial water filters such as self cleaning filters, backwashing filters, water bag filters, ceramic water filters, ge water filters, tubular filters, drum filters etc. Industrial water filters applications include cooling water, spray nozzle protection, plant intake water, r.O. Prefiltration, pickling, descaling, white water, injection molding etc. Ceramic water filters are a type of water filters, typically used in a household, which purify water by passing the water through pores in ceramic. Ceramic water filters can potentially cause an increase in the levels of bacteria in the water if not changed or cleaned frequently. Ge water filter reduces lead, chlorine, cysts, particulates, herbicides, pesticides, improves taste, and eliminates odors in water & ice. Bag filters are the workhorse of the filtration industry. In general, felt type water bag filters are finer and offer higher solids loading capacity at 150 microns and below. Above 150 microns mesh type bag filters dominate in their more traditional straining applications. Most water bag filters are also designed disposable, which means that they have to be replaced when the filter is clogged. These water filters should not be confused with water purifiers. Water purifiers satisfy higher epa standards, and also remove viruses, such as hepatitis a and rotavirus, among others. Water purification is the process of removing contaminants from a raw water source, most water is purified for human consumption drinking water. Water purification may also be designed for a variety of other purposes and water purified to meet the requirements of medical, pharmacology, chemical and industrial applications. Methods include ultraviolet water purifiers; filtration; softened water; reverse osmosis, ultrafiltration etc. The ultraviolet water purifiers removes significantly or partially the contaminants like bacteria, chlorine, sediment, coliform bacteria, organics, viruses and other chemical compounds and pesticides that are generally found in ground / stored water. Viruses, bacteria and other living microorganisms are bombarded with special intense light of a specific wavelength. The uv-c light penetrates the wall of the organisms and attacks their dna structure leaving many organisms unable to reproduce it is rapid, leaves no bad taste or odor in the water and carries no risk of overdose. The benefits of using ultraviolet water purifiers rather than other methods is that it does not alter ph, taste, or affect the chemical composition in any way when used for disinfections purposes. It is a non-chemical approach for microbial control and does not produces by-products.
