Hydraulic is basically a subject dealing with the mechanical properties of liquids while hydraulic machines are the tools that enable fluid power to do work. Hydraulics is used for the generation, control and transmission of power through the use of pressurizing liquids also called hydraulic fluid. Control valves control the fluid either directly or automatically and distribute it through hoses and tubes. These control valves direct the fluid to the desired actuator through a spool that slides to different positions like housing, intersecting grooves and channels. The control valve is one of the most expensive and sensitive parts of hydraulic circuit. To foster the needs of indian buyers large number of hydraulic coolers, accessories, fluids, parts, power units, prime movers, sub assemblies and sub units are available in the market. Hydraulics is also used in hydrostatic wheels, pumps, valves, braking valves and system controls and in many industrial sectors for different industrial purposes. They are available in different sizes, models, and come with different features suiting different applications. They are also available with variety of functions and provide high-quality, high-performance characteristics. Some of these hydraulic are user friendly, cost effective and help in increasing the production while some hydraulics operate the control surfaces on any large airplane. Hydraulic pumps have ten times greater power density than electric pumps and is powered by an electric motor or engine connected through gears, belts or a flexible elastomeric coupling to reduce vibration. A hydraulic pump rated for 5000 psi is capable of maintaining flow of 5000 psi. Other components of hydraulic pumps include gear pump, vane pump, axial pistol pump and radial pistol pump. Hydraulic tubes are available in the standard size of with the length of 6m and 100mm of diameter cleaned, oiled and plugged. The tubes are interconnected by different types of flanges (especially for the larger sizes and pressures), welding cones/nipples (with o-ring seal), several types of flare connection and by cut-rings. Hydraulic tubes are used in case of high pressure whereas hydraulic pipes are used in case of low pressure. Hydraulic pipes are connected by thread but usually welding is done. Hydraulic hose is used to provide flexibility to machine operation or maintenance. Hydraulic hose is built with rubber and steel wherein interior is surrounded by woven wire and rubber. Most of the hydraulic machines are built in stainless steel to avoid corrosion.
