Chemical catalyst is a substance that initiates or accelerates a chemical reaction without itself being affected accelerator. It reduces the energy required for the reaction to occur. Ammonium metatungstate or amt is mainly used as a raw material for the production of tungsten catalysts for a variety of reactions including oxidation, hydroxylation, hydrogenation, and polymerization.
These chemical catalysts are also used by the petrochemical industry. Other applications for amt include reagent for chemical analysis such as for medical diagnosis. Pricat catalysts are widely used in the production of oleochemical, chemicals, chemical intermediates, and refinery products. In oleochemical applications catalyst is used in reaction activity like hydrogenation process, for fatty acids, unsaturated and saturated fatty nitriles to primary amines etc, amination, reductive alkylation, dehydration etc.
For chemicals, chemical intermediates and refinery, products catalyst is used in hydrogenation process include dearomatization solvents, white oils, diesel, gasoline. Aromatics to cycloaliphatics, cyclohexane, cyclohexanone, cyclohexylamine, aldehydes to alcohol oxo alcohol, neopentylglycol, furfuryl alcohol, ketones to alcohol, i-propanol, methyl phenyl carbinol, aromatic nitro groups to amines aniline, amino aromatics. The polishing and hydropolishing process like the removal of trace compounds like waxes, iactam, alcohol, cyclohexane resins etc.
