Auxiliary Chemical Additives
|
Chemical additives and auxiliaries are widely used to give extra strength and added in cements, liquid coating paints, and tile adhesives. They have wide applications ranging architectural to industrial applications. Aluminum hydroxide is required for producing aluminum sulphate for the water treatment. Polypropylene glycol is used as a shrinkage-reducing additive in dispersion powder compositions. The dispersion powder composition is particularly suitable for dry mortars. Methyl ethyl hydroxyethyl cellulose is used as rheological additive in dry mortars. Acid catalysts are used for solvent-based and aqueous coating systems for increasing the conductivity of electrostatic sprayed coatings. Resins and additives like urea and formaldehyde resins, paraffin emulsions are used in wood working industries. Rheological additives are used in solvent containing systems and in aqueous systems. They can also be used for architectural paints, heavy maintenance, and general industrial and automotive coatings.
