Reactive dye is a highly colored organic pigment that is primarily applied for tinting textiles that attach themselves to their substrates by a chemical reaction that forms a covalent bond between the molecule of the dye and that of the fiber. Firstly clothing dye of this type is designed for the cellulose fibers but today reactive dyes for protein and polyamide fibers are available in the market. The striking quality of reactive fabricdyes is that it makes a bond with fiber and is the most permanent of all dyes present in the market. This natural dye improves the color stability and washability of the clothes. Fiber reactive dye comes in different colors that can be applied in various textile industries to give different shade of color to the fibers. For solid shade dyeing, gradation dyeing, silk printing, screen-printing, basket reed dyeing and leather dyeing reactive dye are very effective. This dye and pigment is very effective in dyeing cellulose fiber that includes cotton, linen, viscose, jute and many others.
