Rod Less Cylinder

A gas cylinder or tank is a pressure vessel used to store gases at high pressure. Gases stored this way are called bottled gases. India is a big market for rod less cylinders. These vendors of rod less cylinders are scattered all over india catering to the requirements of large variety of consumers for rod less cylinders that widely distributed throughout india. Rod less cylinders is available for different industrial purposes. The prime importance for the buyer is to source the quality rod less cylinders that are conducive to his requirements.

rod less air cylinders: actuators that use a mechanical or magnetic coupling to impart force, typically to a table or other body that moves along the length of the cylinder body, but does not extend beyond it. A rod less band cylinder actuator contains its stroke within the length of the cylinder itself. In addition, a rod less actuator guides and supports the load throughout the entire stroke length, so there is minimal bearing wear and load deflection compared to rod-style cylinders. As a result, bending moments are better controlled, resulting in longer wear without seal or bearing stress. Rod less, cable, band or magnetically coupled air cylinders; these types of air cylinders are selected where a footprint issue prevents the use of a traditional lower cost, but much longer footprint, rodded type air cylinder. An 8" stroke tie-rod type cylinder will be at least 16" long when the rod is in full extension and likely quite a bit more when the end caps and mounts are taken into consideration. A meter (3') long rodded cylinder will need more than 2 meters (6') of "footprint" for installation given that allowance must be made for the rod to extend from the end of the cylinder to its full reach.

The stroke of a rod less cylinder is contained within its body length which makes rod less cylinders about half the length of conventional cylinders. Rod less cylinders is generally used in long-stroke shuttle applications, but they have many applications. Band cylinders have a carriage that rides along the outside of a tube with a longitudinal split in it. The piston rides inside the tube and is attached to the carriage through the tube's split. A band covers the split to seal the tube. As the carriage moves along the tube, the band is unseated and then reseated as the carriage passes. The band is not able to create a perfect seal; therefore there is always a very slight leak from band cylinders. Cable cylinders use a piston with aircraft cable attached to both ends of it. The cable travels from the end of the piston, through a gland seal in the cylinder's end cap, around a pulley, and connects to a yoke that travels along the length of the cylinder. As air is input into the left end of a cable cylinder, the piston travels to the right which pulls the yoke to the left.
