| Industrial Chemical Adhesives
|
Industrial adhesives consist of wide range organic and inorganic chemical compounds. They are typically joining components. They are defined by their chemical compositions and often include acrylic adhesive, acrylate, cyanoacrylate, epoxy, phenolic, melamine, and formaldehyde resins, polyurethane adhesive, rubber and silicone adhesives. Acrylic adhesives are known for that, their excellent environmental resistance and quick-setting times compared to other resins. Cyanoacrylates are often known as super glues and are part of acrylate adhesives that cure instantly on contact with mated surfaces through a reaction with surface moisture. Epoxy adhesives are chemical compounds used for joining components. Phenolic, melamine and urea formaldehyde resins are thermosetting adhesives offer strong bonds and good resistance to high temperature. Polyurethane adhesives and rubber sealants are provided with high flexible bonds and are usually based on butadiene-styrene, butyl, polyisobutylene or nitrile compounds. Silicone adhesives and silicone sealants have a high degree or flexibility and very high temperature resistance.
