Hydraulic Horizontal, Vertical Broaching Machines
|
In today's global competitive world machines and automation has gained a great deal of importance. Thus broaching has positive advantages like high productivity and repeatable product quality. Broaching is highly productive metal cutting process, in which the metal is removed by successive action of number of cutting teeth incorporated in the tool called broach. Hydraulic broaching machines are vertical and horizontal types and are useful in various automobile and hand tool industry where the complex shapes are machined internally and externally. These broaching machines are push type or pull type depending upon the nature of job and are designed to prevent vibrations. These broaching machines prevent over loading which reduces the maintenance and down time. Horizontal broaching machines, generally the pull type, are used for internal broaching operations and sometimes for surface jobs with suitable work-holding fixtures. Vertical broaching machines can be either push or pull type, however most surface broaching is done on vertical pull-types. Horizontal model has the advantage of enabling the operator to reach any part of the machine and is easily adjustable for stroke in order to meet different broach lengths. The vertical model takes up little floor space and is usually limited to short stroke models. Vertical broaches can last up to twice as long as a horizontal.
