Deflashing is a process in which parts are frozen at temperature below -80 degree celsius and tumbled in their brittle state to remove excess rubber. Deflashing machines are used for de-flashing of large or delicate moulded components. Some of these machines are suitable for the continuous high volume deflashing of thermoset mouldings and can even permit damage free deflashing of delicate, thin walled parts.Deflashing machine are also used in blasting process in which it uses liquid nitrogen to cool rubber and plastic parts making them brittle which allows the flashing to be efficiently blasted off. These machines are used in many industrial sectors suited for different applications.
