Naphtha is a colorless flammable liquid obtained from various hydrocarbons mixtures widely used as a solvent for various applications of chemical industries.This petroleum naphtha is also used as a cleaning fluid because of its dissolving property and hence naphtha is used in certain laundry soaps. This petroleum product has great solvency power and can be used for many industrial applications. Many times, naphtha solvent is used as an ingredient in shoe polish and in lighter fluids for wick type lighters. Even these chemicals are used to polish guitars. Different types of naphtha are generally distinguished by its density, paraffin content, naphtheness content, aromatics content, olefins content that to in volume percent. As it has the aromatic content, this naphtha is immensely used as a feed stock in fertilizer plants and in petrochemical industries, when the aromatic content is high.
