Rubber is a polymeric and elastomeric material consisting of large organic molecules. The average of rubber consumption is being utilized for vehicle sector for the wide tyre industries. They have the ability of abrasion resistance to resist mechanical wear, oil resistance, and hardness and wide range temperature properties. Elastomers and rubber materials are characterized by their high degree of flexibility and elasticity or high reversible elongation or resilience. Thermoplastic elastomers and rubber materials are based on variety of systems like silicone, polyurethane, chloroprene, butyl, polybutadiene, neoprene, natural rubber or isoprene and other synthetic rubber or compounds. Silicon robbers have good electrical properties, resistance to aging, weathering and ozone, colour consistent often used in aerospace industry and sophisticated engineering, providing seals and electrical insulation, capable of withstanding multiple working temperature ranges. Nitrile is the mostly used elastomer for its resistance to petroleum fluids, good physical properties and temperature range. High consistency rubber is processed on a rubber mill having much higher viscosity than liquid silicone rubber.
Rubber products range from boots, bellows, bumpers, grommets, gaskets, o-rings, oil seals, rolls, tubing, belts, wide range hoses. The boots or bellows are square or rectangular and are flexible connectors, round bellows, waycovers etc. Bellows are used to protect machine operators from pinch points and other dangers from moving parts and for aesthetic purposes, covering, moving and stationary components. Rubber tubing is used for flow lines for fluids and gases in pneumatic, hydraulic, food processing and medical applications. Rubber adhesives and rubber sealants provide highly flexible bonds, based on butadiene-styrene, butyl, polyisobutylene or nitrile compounds.
